Intentions

My work explores my morbid curiosities, addressing the images that some may find odd, obscure or even grotesque. I do not illustrate these images that settle in my head with the intent to shock people but with the intent to study them. Always teetering on the edge of death or darkness my artwork is more often than not, made for myself. As selfish as that may sound, through out my life art has been the only truly successful way for me to express myself, where words failed, art prevailed. My pieces have become vessels to the darkest and brightest thoughts from the dregs of my mind. They are ostensibly foreboding creatures but are only created with the impulsion to question oneself, delve within and face the things we never would have dared to endure.

“Love is temperamental. Tiring. It makes demands. Love uses you. Changes its mind. But hatred, now. That’s something you can use. Sculpt. Wield. It’s hard or soft, however you need it. Love humiliates you, but hatred cradles you. It’s soothing.”
